Day 2. Rodebay on dog sledge
Breakfast at the hotel. Now it’s time to put on polar suits for the dog sledge ride with a local hunter to the hunters’ settlement Rodebay; packed lunch en route. The dog sledge driver and his dogs take you across the thick ice on the way to Rodebay to let you experience the true Greenland. Over night at an expedition camp on the Icecap. (guides advice). In Rodebay dinner at the little local restaurant & overnight in a simple hut or in an expedition camp. Northern lights illuminate the night sky, make it a favourite place for people in the summer as well as during the winter. With around 300 days a year under cloudless skies, Greenland is one of the best places in the world from which to see the northern lights.
